Round 1: Eric walks in dictating the pace of the fight trying to land big punches to AK’s body. AK shows he is a very slick fighter with good angles. As the round passes the half way mark, AK is the one landing the cleaner punches then slipping away before getting hit. AK is even starting to show boat a little turning his back to Eric walking away then exploding back in again with punches. I scored this round to AK.

Round 2: Eric is the much bigger fighter of the two, yet AK is able to get on the inside of Eric’s guard landing nice one-two’s and even jumping hooks from the out side, almost at will. Eric does land a few nice combos but as soon as he lands anything, AK is straight back on him landing shots of his own, always keeping on top of the score cards. You can see Eric has the power but AK is never in front of him long enough for them to land. Another round scored to AK.

Round 3: Eric comes out more aggressive this round, AK is catching him but Eric is willing to take a few punches to land some of his own. This is an exciting round with not much in it as they go punch for punch. Just before the end of the round Eric lands a nice 4 punch combo that hits AK flush, spinning him around on the ropes. It’s a close round but with that last combo I am going to award it to Eric.

Round 4: Both fighters are starting to look tired and it’s a sloppy round for both of them with only a few telling punches landed from both guys. Near the end of the round the boys end up in a grapple, AK sees a chance for a break and pulls down Eric’s shorts, all the way to the knees. The Referee tries to pull them up but can’t get it over the guard.  The ref takes him back to the blue corner were they wrestle the shorts back on. Both fighters get a chance to get their breath back a little, but still real no hard shots till the bell. I would have to score this round even.

Round 5: Eric knows he is down on points and comes out for the last round all guns blazing. AK sticks and moves and tries to stay away for Eric’s power. Eric lands some glancing blows before finally landing some big bombs rocking AK’s head back and getting him in trouble. Eric sees AK in trouble and tries to jump on him to finish the fight, AK holds on to save himself and Eric pushes him to the canvas.  AK takes his time standing up and could almost be an 8 count. Eric once again rushes in to try and land the big one, then out of no where AK lands a bomb of his own snapping Eric’s head back and putting him in trouble. Eric is all over the place and still doesn’t have his legs but manages to stay up right. AK is picking him off but staying careful as both fighters are hurt and dazed. In the best round I have seen in season 4 I would give this one to AK.

When the scores come in the MC announces that the 3 judges have all awarded it
49-46, 50-46, 49-46 to the red corner AK of the Gold Team.

After the fight Eric knows what he has done wrong letting AK stay on the outside and not putting enough pressure cutting off the ring. I loved this fight and am excited to see more fights like this one in the rest of the competition.
